ESTABLISHMENT OF NATIONAL RESPONSE CENTRE FOR CYBER CRIMES (NR3C) IN FIA HQ, ISLAMABAD.

             Progress uptil now.

• On the orders of Ministry of Interior, a National Response Centre for Cyber Crimes (NR3C) has been
  established in FIA HQ Islamabad.
  
• This Response Centre would be single point of contact for all Government/Private organizations/persons
  to report Cyber Crimes against them individually or an organization.
• Monitor global security issues and gather IT security intelligence.

The organizational flow of this response center would be as follows:-

ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE OF NR3C

• As a first step a very high level orientation seminar was arranged in FIA HQ Islamabad in which officers of
  the level of Joint Secretaries and above from all Federal/Provincial Government participated.
• Provide necessary technical support to all sensitive Government organizations to make their web based
  resources and computer networks secure.
• Carry out regular R & D activities to make the Response Center as a center of technical excellence to
  remain professionally updated to combat Cyber Crimes using State–of–the-art technologies. Cooperation
  and assistance may be obtained from friendly countries in this regard.
• Technical support to the Internet Cell of Ministry of Information for floating response on the hostile and
  anti-State propaganda against people and Government of Pakistan.
• Provide timely information to critical infrastructure owners and government departments about threats,
  actual attacks and recovery techniques.
• Build local capability in incident handling and security intelligence.
• Build relationship with similar organization e.g. CERT etc.
• Promote cooperation among clients in respect of IT security.
• Awareness of computer security issues.
